May has always been a disturbing month for me... it is, after all, the month of season finales. I am a TV junkie, have been since my tween days (which are long gone now). That been said, this particular May has been quite stressful.
Last night I watched House's series finale. I was very confused for the first few minutes, couldn't really make out if he was dead or alive. But once I got a hang of it, I started liking the episode. When Gregory House "died" I wasn't convinced he was dead, then again, it had been heavily rumored for weeks that the character would be offed. So it started to sink in, there was no other possible ending for someone like him... or was there? Turns out there was! In a very House-like twist we learned he wasn't dead, he faked everything so he could be with his BFF for whatever time they had left together. I liked it!
Desperate Housewives on the other hand... well, can't shake the feeling that something is missing from the ending. It felt sudden, abrupt, and forced. And why in the world isn't there a Susan flash forward??? Not satisfying.
On less definite endings and moving on to cliffhangers, there is the shock that was Grey's Anatomy. I like Grey's. Figured Lexie was the one in worst shape after the crash, but the show's writers usually kill one of the less obvious characters. So I was ruling for April to commit suicide... awful huh? But it was fitting, shocking, lose-end-tying, and I guess too predictable. She was in such bad place after failing her boards and losing her job (and virginity). Can't say I hadn't been warned, Shonda Rhimes had stated a beloved character would suffer a dark death. But why Lexie? I mean I know Chyler Leigh wanted, it's just that I liked Lexie. I was hoping that Lexie and Mark would get back together, it had been heavily hinted throughout the season. Though I liked the episode I think the death came too soon, it left me with the strange feeling of emptiness and kept me from being too worried about the other characters during the rest of the episode (THE death had already happened, nothing much left to fear). So, summing up: liked it, hated that it was Lexie and only truly enjoyed the first half.
Private Practice had a slow season. There wasn't much going on at first, then it started getting interesting. Though Amelia's pregnancy drama dragged on a little too long for me, it was a nice ending, incredibly sad. That is until the deal with Addison, Sam and Jake. I have to say I'm done with Sam, he had a very bad attitude when Addison wanted a baby and then he just changed his mind and decided he wants her back. Hope she picks Jake, and something tells me she'll end up getting pregnant with Jake's baby.
Once Upon a Time is one of my new addictions and I loved the first season finale. Great that I was left wondering what the hell went wrong with the spell breaking, and what will be the implications of having magic in the real world. Only thing is, I would've liked to have Emma and her parents reunited, but it's OK, I can wait. I have a feeling I'm going to have to wait longer than just next season, because let's face it, if I was the Evil Queen and got my powers back I'd do something to keep them apart.
Bones left me in shock, hating that psycho killer. I felt completely powerless (not that I can do anything about what happens on TV, but that was just the way I felt during the whole episode). And that ending made me wonder about the future, it left everything up in the air.
A guilty pleasure of mine is the newcomer Hart of Dixie. And it's finale did not disappoint me! I really hope Zoe sticks with Wayne, I am in no way a George fan, the guy was a total jerk with both Zoe and Lemon (a nice jerk, but by no means less of a jerk).
Glee is a show I don't follow on a strict weekly basis, I just sort of catch on once in a while. But I loved that they finally won finals and though the season finale will air tonight I loved the Nationals episode, specially Rachel's rendition of Celine Dione's "It's all Coming Back to me", brilliant!
Anyway, that's what's bugging me lately :).
